He was a famous Portuguese navigator and explorer. Vasco da Gama was born in 1460, in Sines, on the southwest coast of Portugal.Vasco da Gama was the son of Stephen da Gama (1430-1497) was gentleman of the house of Fernando de Portugal in 1460.
